The Examination Centre for the Federal Judicial Service Commission was conceived to create an environment conducive for Judicial Examination to the teeming judiciary staff in Nigeria.
The building houses Examination Centre as well as Seminar Rooms.
The Centre seats about 200 people including a gallery.
The project features a large con-course, well-lit from the roof and a vertical half barrel properly articulated to the facade.
The building responds to its context as a gathering place, the geometrial footprint is based on series of rectangles and an arc to generate a profile of convex shell and a cuboid.
The metaphoric expression of the form of the building is a representation of a wig and a book placed horizontally. This is symbolic to the culture and tradition of the law proffesion.
