NUPRC: Official Site Visit by the New Commission Chief Executive

The newly appointed Commission Chief Executive (CCE) of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, paid an official inspection visit to the New NUPRC Headquarters Building currently under construction on 20th January 2026.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Commission’s leadership to assess the progress of works and receive comprehensive updates from the project team.

Artec Practice Ltd, serving as the Design Consultants, was ably represented by its team led by Arc. Taofik Popoola, alongside the Resident Architect, Arc. Abdulwahid Yahya. The team delivered a concise but detailed presentation outlining:

  • The original design concept and vision
  • The evolution of the design through development stages
  • Key architectural and technical refinements
  • Design modifications implemented from project inception to date

The Contractor, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc (JBN), represented by its team led by Mr. Thomas Doepp, presented the construction methodology, sequencing, and current progress status. The presentation also addressed operational challenges encountered on site and the mitigation measures being implemented to maintain quality and programme objectives.

Mrs. Eyesan expressed satisfaction with the level of progress achieved and commended the collaborative efforts of the Client, Consultants, and Contractor. She reiterated her commitment to the timely and successful completion of the landmark facility, emphasizing the Commission’s aspiration for excellence.

In her remarks, she noted, “Why settle for less when you could have more,” reaffirming her resolve to ensure that the project meets the highest standards in quality, functionality, and institutional representation.

The visit concluded on a positive note, reinforcing stakeholder alignment and renewed momentum toward project completion.
